Mascots Petition
I know we've got bigger problems at the moment, but during the "winter break" please sign my petition to make mascots free at West Ham again.

Total they make from these is less than half of the pay rise Brady got, it's not on!

Re: Mascots Petition
Re updates on this from the Club, there are none except the Club saying that they're still working on their full policy on this for next season. And the OSB meeting this week was postponed to May. They basically seem to have decided current set up is a disaster for them in PR terms and they're waiting to see what division we're in before announcing what's next for OSB and all these issues Inc mascots

Sorry mate, just seen this. Yeah someone pointed it out to me last week, I reached out to them on Twitter to see if there were any updates but not heard anything back yet!

Re: Mascots Petition
I think they'll cave on this. It'll be a nice headline thing to give to HU that'll make them look good and like they've listened. It'll "cost" them £150k pa but if they think that'll buy off the protesters then they'll see it as worthwhile.

Re: Mascots Petition
Of course there are shed loads of parents willing to pay £700 for this brilliant day out but I find it fecking disgusting to charge anything !

So SG&B stop being tight arsed and sort it because not all parents have £700 !!!!!!

Re: Mascots Petition
Sadly you're miles off Tex. There's still a queue of people happy to hand over £700 for their kid to be a mascot.

This petition I hope will at least start a dialogue. IMO it should still be free and a combination of waiting list/lucky dip.

But as you've said current pricing is a joke.

I see where you're coming from, but I see this as something I can personally make a difference in.

When/If they make this change I'll be giving even more time to campaigning for all the other changes that are needed in line with Hammers United.

Re: Mascots Petition
i do think there should be some nominal cost for this - but current pricing is a joke.

without some charge everyone will just put there kids name down and try to get lucky whether the kid really wants to do it or not.

i know that mine would say to put her name down but if i told her that it cost £100 and would be part of her birthday present or something, then she would very likley say no.

an experience like this is so unique i just can't figure out a way to ensure that those for whom it means everything get to do it.... ahead of another kid who would do it for an affternoon out, but it would be a coin flip versus going to the cinema.

There's nothing stopping me going through the list of people at my job and signing their names on this is there? can tick that they dont want to be contacted

Re: Mascots Petition
it'd be an easy win for the board to okay this. they'd make a massive song and dance about it and would brief whatever mates they have left in the media to use it to batter supporter discontent with.

don't give the cunts any easy wins. play the long game.
